We saw it again

We saw it again

What a varied day. This morning we were at the most south Westerly point in Ireland, and all Europe if you believe the Irish. Mizzen Head is spectacular, the walk down over the bridge and along to the signal station had several amazing viewpoints as well as a lot of historical significance. Found and picked some Rock Samphire to add to our risotto, lemony and delicious.

Next it was the beach for Misty which she obviously loved. We arrived at Reen Pier for our anniversary night adventure. The weather was not brilliant and we were not expecting to experience the same magic as last year, but hey, never say never! Jim and Guido arrived and sorted the double kyacks with rudders no less. To avoid any squabbles we let jim decide on who was in the front and back😁. At about 10.00pm we were on the water. The wind has dropped and the drizzle had stopped. Under guidance we all shut out eyes and listened to the night music. The paddling was gentle and to our surprise the bioluminescence was amazing. The water sparkled as fingers, boats and paddles ran through it. Exactly the same effect as the fireflies we say on our anniversary in Italy last year. Now there is something to live up to. 😀
We finished the night at 1am with prosecco and nibbles.
