Torc Mountain Walk

We love alternatives

The ring of Kerry was not for us but the Ballaghbeama Gap was ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. Spectacular. Up and over the top and then to be rewarded with the Strawberry Fields pancake cottage. The roads were tiny passing beneath the highest peak in Ireland, Carrauntoohil. Misty took one look and said no way too many boulders. We reassured her by reminding her that dogs weren’t allowed on the mountain, besides it was covered with mist.

After pancakes we went to Torc waterfall. Steep climb down (and back up). Then a lovely walk to muckross house and gardens, a beautiful, serene parkland gardens overlooking a lough.
