Doogort Beach
Today was going to be a rest day!!!
Instead we decided to climb the local hill. 2000+ feet straight up from the Atlantic and it was steep, and it was covered in boulders, and it was windy. However after 2 hours climbing when we reached the top the wind had calmed so we laid down and sun bathed, along with taking in the 360deg fabulous panorama of Achill Island and the surrounding area. All good things must come to an end so 2 hours later we got back to the campsite hot and tired.
Two Italian chefs have recently taken over the local hotel so we went for a pizza and a Guinness.
The final exertion was throwing balls on the beach for Misty.
