A day of 2 revelations. A morning spent exploring the old town of Terrasson to find it was amazing. Loads of beautiful buildings some of which were a wee bit rickety. A walkway around the hilltop abbey, over looking the town, gave us magnificent panoramic views and revealed its hidden treasures to us.

The afternoon revelation was le Jardins de l’Imaginaire. A contemporary garden with 13 different themes built on the hillside overlooking Terrasson. We walked through fountains, topiary, moss, box, roses and lots and lots of flowers. A different view around every corner and terrace. A magical place for both the adult and the child in us, where we saw rainbows on the water, imagined elves in the woods, contemplated life in the small Amphitheatre and wondered at the modern art and sculpture.

A great day finished off with some great ice cream.
