Early exploration found a beautiful floral alley gardened by the residents. True to form we also found a botanical gardens! Set up by the man himself, Yves Rocher, to study, preserve and share. A sensory journey to discover 1500 species from all over the world.
Lidl was near by so we popped in to do some shopping.
After lunch of bread, cheese and pate we visited the largest open air photo festival in Europe based in La Gacilly with more than 1000 enormous photos. This year’s theme was Island-continent and highlighted environmental issues of our time. It took a long time to see all these photos as the were distributed all over the village, in the streets, in gardens and exhibitions. There is a monetary prize for the best photo every year.
