Bridges, beaches, harbours and walks
Our new philosophy – wear shorts when the sun shines ☀️
We started this morning walking on the beach at Cushendun and followed up with a spectacular drive along a very steep, narrow road which took us to the top of a cliff 12 miles from Scotland. Just stunning 😁.
Carrick a rede rope bridge still makes people scream but not us veterans of last year’s Tibetan bridge adventure but sitting in the sun on the little island was lovely. Places like this make Membership of the national trust a bargain. After exploring a few limestone caves in the cliffs we walked misty to Balintoy harbour. A very old world picturesque tiny harbour with good ice cream. What more could one ask for? Sun,sea and ice cream.
The final drive of the day was to our first official campsite in Ireland which has fantastic views of the causeway coast.
