Overcast Clouds, 9°C
All Clear
Misty looked after us well today making sure all was clear.
The sun shone all day as we visited Glenarm Castle and gardens, walked through Glenarm forest and walked up and down the scenic trail of Glenariff forest park, (hopefully we have not missed our chance to put our shorts on 😁😁), before making our way to Cushendun for our over night stop.
Glenarm, what an interesting, missed by most, little place, with a fantastic castle and it’s walled garden. Tulips are indeed splendid flowers and the Irish never stop talking. Misty got a free Frozzy dog ice cream from a very chatty lady in the tea room. The walled garden was magnificent and not spoiled by some very polite uniformed children on their visit.
The glenarm forest walk seemed enough for misty so we did not tell her we had an even bigger one planned for this afternoon.
The drive along the causeway coastal route was very close to the water in places but nevertheless pretty damned good.
We chose the longest, as we do, scenic trail in glenariff forest park and although very uppy downy was enjoyed in the sunshine by us all. Tall trees, high escarpments and carpets of bluebells made it all the more special.
