Homeward Bound

Followed the Rhone river through Lyon leaving the mountains far behind. A driving day today because we are on our way home only one more planned visit to go.

We arrived at Lapalisse, a medieval town, not expecting to see much but that’s where we were wrong. It has a Chateau, a floral park part French part English designed and some interesting medieval buildings. We caught the back end of a retro vehicle show behind the Chateau, one or two interesting cars and bikes.

Unknown to us we are actually following the route bleue which is the old 1936 tourist route from Paris to the Cote D’,Azur now known as the N7.
