A very British day

Lago Mergozzo

A very British day

Left our lake and headed down the shore of Lake Como, a short motorway hop and we were at Villa Taranto on the shores of lake Maggiore.

A very English garden conceived and built by a Scottish gentleman in the early part of the 20th century. It is beautiful on a hill overlooking lake and mountains with plant species from all over the world. It really did remind us of home as midges were flying just before a thunder storm struck, the Scottish weather has caught us up.

It’s chucking it down at the moment but a tad warmer than Scotland as we sit besides another lake, lake mergozzo (we really have seen the Italian lakes) and hopefully the weather will settle down again tomorrow.
