George Clooney eat your heart out. We paid nothing for this view (he reputedly paid 7 million Euro for his view of Lake Como). We’re at the bit of Lake Como cut off by alluvial deposits better know as Lago de Mezzola. After a traumatic drive over a pass hampered by maniacal bike riders (St Mary’s loch you haven’t seen anything like it!!!) beware the orange one!! We arrived on a grassy bank within a stones throw of a lake. Just as we arrived another camper pulled out and we got a prime spot on the front row. With a backdrop of the dolomites and a small beautiful lake in front of us we settled to enjoy the sun. A small local fete had been set up in the field next door to us with tombola, local crafts and food. We bought the most delicious sweet nut flan.

The culmination of Misty’s walk was a cool pint over looking the small Marina. As we ate our pasta and drank our wine the setting sun was magnificent over the lake and mountains.
