50th Anniversary

Arezzo antique market was first held on 2nd June 1968. Reputedly the oldest and largest antique fair in Italy. We got there at 9am to beat the crowds and the sun and it was brill. Fortunately everything we liked was too bulky to bring home but then we did not see all 500 stalls. Misty still suffering so we were away by 11am. Arezzo a very pretty medieval walled town but with all the celebrations for Republic day and the market it was somewhat over shadowed.

Then heading into the mountains by some more very tight hair pin bends. We appreciate everything Serena, our Sat Nav, does for us on out travels we wish that she would not take ‘short cuts’ along even narrower, steeper and windier roads. We gave some locals a shock!!! Although we (that is Ian) did all the reversing manouvres.

Arrived at our small wooded site with bar and open pizza oven. Lovely cool mountain river which Misty will enjoy when she can walk down there.
