It Never Rains…

Overcast Clouds, 7°C

Altnahara, Highlands

And you never know when it will pour. A sun filled break in the clouds fooled us this morning so we took to the bikes, Had a card to post. Google said that there was a post office 11 miles down the road, well remember what we said, never listen to google. Well never listen to Google!! We did find a post box and after talking to 2 ‘fishing widows’ walking a dog we found generosity in strangers who gave us a stamp (out of pity?? ) We were past caring about the rain as we were soaked. We posted our soggy card (sorry Gillian) ate lunch on the side of the road and headed back to the van. We couldn’t resist playing on a wee swing bridge, fisher people use only hee hee, oh well never mind. The whole 22 miles were pleasant enough despite the rain but we were really pleased when the campsite shop sold Magnums, a reward for our efforts.

Again Misty had not missed us and was very reluctant to go for a walk. Sorry Misty what has to be has to be. A wee glass of the red stuff has refreshed us and we are all set for onwards and upwards tomorrow.
