We sat under a clear blue sky on one of the most iconic sites on the isle of skye. Picture the Black Cuillins as your backdrop, the beach in front of you, tents and in our case Motorhomes down to the sea and you will know where we are. Picture perfect. We are surprised that there are so few of us here especially as the serve beautiful coffee and homemade rosemary bread in the cafe (bread ordered for breakfast).
We have been joined by several groups, good job were not old and grumpy as the are enjoying themselves (although we may become old and grumpy at 2am if the party continues).
We watched with smiles on our faces as 2 young men tried to put up a bell tent. This is where the gaffer tape came in. We always carry, they didn’t. We might be old but we’re still helpful. End result one fixed tent pole.
