It’s supposed to be our last day in Sweden so let’s have them all😄😄. We think fika should be introduced here, we’re certainly going to continue.
We are just sat contemplating the last few weeks and although we have not been to Sweden we have learned quite a lot about it and we’ve seen a lot more of Edinburgh, our home city. One of the things we haven’t mentioned about Sweden is it strange naming laws, and as we’re about to become grandparents for the 3rd time this quite interested us. The Swedish law states:
“First names shall not be approved if they can cause offence or can be supposed to cause discomfort for the one using it, or names which for some obvious reason are not suitable for a first name”
Meaning the law can veto any name.
You can’t name childrenMetallica, Elvis, Superman or Ikea. So be warned Susan and Easton baby brown, according to grandparent law, you shouldn’t use Marvel, Iron Man, Hulk, Wonder Woman, Buffy, Angel, Spike, Sam or Dean, Jaws or Lego🤣🤣.
