Moose, wolves, bear and lynx are not native to Scotland but we thought we might spot a few if we looked hard enough.
Moose can be found all over and you can see why our moose is king of the forest and his Christmas brother hangs around the back of chairs. We couldn’t find any European brown bears but yellow is Barbara’s favourite colour and we found a yellow bear climbing a tree. It looks distinctly like Sixty, maybe a distant relation?? Reindeer possess a number of features which suggest adaptation to a cold climate. E.g. Scotland which is why we keep ours in the kitchen plumbed in with the rest of the heating. Wolves were a real challenge, misty thought she spotted one in the gorse but it escaped and it was too prickly for her to follow.
We think you’ll agree we spotted an interesting selection of wildlife.
