“Nobody puts baby Misty in a corner cage”

Cangas de Onís, Asturias, Spain

Going to see lakes at Covadonga, almost 100% sure the can would not be allowed to go in the van but hoped Misty could go on the bus with us. We even rigged up a muzzle for her. We got to the bus stop and the only way she could travel was in a cage in the luggage compartment under the bus. No way!! So we left, maybe come back another day.

Picked a coastal walking route where we could take her for a walk, got there and found the Bufones de Prai, natural blow holes in the clifs. Only happens at high tide but experienced the wind blowing up the holes and the ghostly sounds echoing beneath us. Had a lovely walk along the coast finding more very large sink hole and lots of gorse. Walked in a big circle back to the van.

We had heard of the Playa de Gulpiyuri and thought let’s go have a look. It is actually the worlds smallest beach at 45m long and is unusual because it is inland. Formed by a collapsed sinkhole but tidal with a beach. We believe you can canoe to it through the caves from the sea to access it, not convinced, we walked.
