Croque Monsieur

The aim today was to go shopping. We chose Turquant because it had artisanal craft shops built into the caves. We arrived at lunchtime and it was shut so we jumped back in Max, went down the road to Montsoreau. As it happens it was open so we had Croque Monsieur and a beer for lunch. It also had a lovely chateau in the banks of the Loire and as usual we explored everything. We even climbed to the top of the village and found vineyards and a windmill and a lovely view of the Loire.

Enough was enough, back to Turquant where everything had opened up in our absence. The art and crafts were amazing, but expensive, the caves which hosted them were also amazing. We followed a trail around the village finding Wells and metal sculptures along the way. Time to head for home which after collecting petrol and milk took longer than we thought. Last night in our cave.
