Looking forward to 7 hours of driving… NOT!! Why does Edinburgh have to be so far away from southern ferry ports? The cherry on the icing is its bank holiday Monday!!!

Wohoo! What a pleasant drive up north, a wee bit of drizzle so started with max’s hood up, but by lunchtime the sun was out, so we had the wind in our hair. The only slow traffic we encountered was around Birmingham and the average speed zones of the roadworks, and Tebay services (chock a block full) we ate our sandwiches in Max🤣🤣🤣

Edinburgh’s welcome started just beyond Moffat as the temp dropped to 9° and the air became a little bit damp.

Finished the day with our coming home supper of delivered fish and chips with wine.

PS dirty washing covering kitchen floor. It will get done sometime
