Sunday 30th April 2023

A fleet of yachts sailed out of Bilbao harbour to wave their goodbyes. The weather was cloudy readying us for the shock of a return to the UK. Bye bye sunshine. Max was installed on the car deck we had a cabin with a fabulous balcony (not real🤣🤣🤣). It was a long..long..long..long voyage! Too chilly to sit on deck, too misty to see anything anyway, too much ‘entertainment ‘ going on in the lounge but the sea was flat calm. The food on board was excellent and reasonably priced.

We spent most of our time sitting in a corner reading. Why do journeys home take so long. Now 100 miles from Portsmouth, sat in a travelodge having had cold pasta salad and chocolate éclairs from Cherwell services M&S food for supper. Only another 350miles to go!
