Friday 28th April 2023

We left Casa Mur de Alujan this morning. Not before saying goodbye to some friends. At the last minute 3 sheep appeared which scared Max so we had to shoo them away. Mum dog was upset at the closed door as she could not escape the puppies, although she and the cat had their snack earlier.

It was a long drive cross country following the foot of the pyrenees. The landscapes crossed reminded us of a lot of the good times here in Spain. We saw castles, hill top villages, towers on hills, dried up rivers and of course the mighty birds of prey.

Bilbao is slightly cooler, temp dropped from 25 to 18 degrees in the last few miles. It’s not only Edinburgh that gets a haar. (Sea fret). The Palicio de Oriol hotel is our home for tonight.

On the ferry tomorrow with no Internet so no blog.

One of the many good things about holidays is looking forward to coming home.
