We made a conscious decision not to bring our little crampons because we were going nowhere near snow. Ha, we laugh in the face of snow because when you have spent money going up a cable car, what the hell!!

Today’s walk was cut short because we had no crampons and for once we were sensible. We got to the base of the pinnacle we were going to climb but silly to carry on. The views were stunning where we were and anyway it gave us more time to relax in the sun at 7500ft enjoying our lunch.

The way down was slow because the sun had softened the icy snow making it very slippy but gave Barbara chance to try and make a snowman, failed!!

On return to the cable car the cafe was open, no excuse needed not to have a cold refreshing beer to steel ourselves for the journey down in the cable car.

Another great day, moving on tomorrow.
