Wot No Rocks

Wot No Rocks

A bit reluctant to leave Korana as it was beautiful but onward and northward. The sun was shining again and the wind was on Max’s tail so off piste we went. The countryside was gentle and rolling and several times we thought we were in the UK , not a sign of the now familiar rocky limestone landscape. As noted before rural life in Croatia is much simpler and a lot less rich. Again we were passing derelict houses, the difference this time, the farming seemed to be thriving with sheep, cows and horses.

We stopped for lunch and watched the fish jump before traveling on to Samobor, an artisan craft town. Before traveling we always research to find out what is going on locally but this time had drawn a blank, however, as we drive into Samobor it was in the midst of a craft festival. The town was full of craft stalls, beer stalls, stages and happy people. We partook of most things as we wandered around the festival.

Next stop the metropolis of Zagreb and our city centre apartment. Loads of traffic, scary driving avoiding the trams. Needed a coffee to relax on arrival.
