Rockin’ and Rollin’

Rockin’ and Rollin’

Edinburgh to Newcastle was a breeze apart from a brief snow shower. Max enjoyed it, top down all the way. Embarking and disembarking was the worst bit of the ferry, bloody brexit!!!

We were lulled to sleep by the not so gentle rocking of the waves but it had calmed down by breakfast (we also had croissant for lunch compliments of dfds ferry)

Our 8 hour drive through sun, rain, sleet and a snow blizzard with the temperature dropping to 1 degree was otherwise uneventful. We did see a lot of lorries, industry and some country side. Max really enjoyed what we think was his first journey in Europe although he does hope the top is down more tomorrow.

Whwn we got to the Seigweiller Hotel, near Ulm in Germany, we discovered that Serina, our sat nav had once again changed her mind on the route and had taken us a different way to the one we thought we were going. It proves the saying “all roads lead to Ulm..”

Had a nice meal at the hotel and are now sat in our room with a glass of wine.
