Well that is everyone but Misty. She once again opted to look after the van while we went to see the Macleod’s Maiden’s. Macleod’s seem to have been big in these parts. He had a great big table as well on the top of some near by hill.
Beautiful sunny day. We headed to Orbost house, parked the van. A 5/6 mile walk through forests, bogs and over burns. And of course fantastic views. Eventually we climbed to the top of some impressive cliffs to admire the purpose of our walk the mighty sea stacks known as Macleods maidens. The largest stack is known as the mother and the smaller 2 her daughters. 😄😄😄 It was a really warm day in contrast to the last few days, so we hung around a while and ate our lunch, seeing the maidens from as many sides as possible. Alas time to head back the return journey of 5 to 6 miles. Misty must need a wee by now?? The return journey always seems longer, and indeed misty did need a wee. After walking back down the track a little ways with her we headed back to the site. The sun still shining so barbecue time although with extra layers on!!
