Scattered Clouds, 8°C
After a leisurely morning on site (Misty needed the rest, poor bairn) we headed towards Inverewe Gardens. We stopped in Gairloch for a cup of coffee and cake (we’re back there now it’s the only place with a signal).
The gardens were open but not the shop… Boohoo no ice cream. We wondered along very quiet windy paths looking at plants as far apart as tiny woodland anemone to huge Eucalyptus trees and tall magnificent Scots fir. The curved walled garden was magnificent bit not in full bloom yet. A lovely shelted spot to look over the water. We could not coax misty out of the van (not that she was allowed in the gardens anyway) so after looking at every flower, bush and tree we headed to the beach. We believe the salt water helped her paws and it was a stunning beach anyway. Heading back to the campsite now.
