Great day despite our big big mistake!!!! Our Misty is one hell of a beast. We thought 4 miles up a hill and back 2 hours easy peasy! We forgot we were in the Highlands of Scotland, have a 10 year old dog and were going up over 1800ft. Misty followed, jumped, climbed and allowed us to push and pull her around some scary, Precarious boulders. The view from the top was awesome and we have to believe that Misty thought so too. But by then she was really tired and went in every snow patch and lochan on the way down. The last mile was awful, mainly for her but also for us. By this point one of her feet was bleeding and we were contemplating carrying her but would probably have caused more harm than good. So we just encouraged and being the mighty dog she is , she made it back to the van. We’ll all sleep tonight but one of will not be able to walk tomorrow. Sorry Misty. Our fault.
Better than another walk around the park though, misty is an adventurer at heart like us.
