Hygge

‘Hygge – a Scandinavian word used to describe a moment or feeling that is cosy or special. It’s comfort and pleasure combined’

A special day in a special place with each other and Misty and Sixty. We were told it didn’t matter where we were so long as we were together. Too right! We’ve had a fabulous 25th wedding anniversary.

it started this morning at 4.00am watching the sun rise from our Edinburgh hill. The bottle of prosecco helped us linger longer. Even Misty took in the sights and smells.

Back home to bed for a couple of hours followed by barbecued lunch in our wee garden. Then the ice cream called so we wandered up the royal mile to our favourite gelato shop. The afternoon was spent chilling in the sunshine in our garden before ordering our go to food. (Whenever returning home from our travels we have fish and chips and a bottle of wine) Unable to go out to eat we ordered a takeaway from bene’s, the best fish and chip shop in Edinburgh.

The day ended the same way it started, watching the sunset over Edinburgh, then home for a glass of red

PS it was warmer than it would have been at Nordkapp.
