The Flogsta Scream is one of those totally legitimate Swedish things that makes no sense to outsiders. Students in the Flogsta neighborhood of Uppsala Sweden started sticking there heads out of the window at 10pm every night into the darkness and screaming and lots of others join in. Apparently it began in the 1970s and has been going on ever since. Maybe it began as a stress reliever during exam times. Whatever the case it is a pretty cool tradition and the rest of the world seem to have latched onto the idea.
As you know at 8pm every Thursday we open our windows and clap to say thank you to all of those people who are helping us through these scary times. BBC radio does a similar thing every Thursday morning with music. Today it sang for teachers, so our claps tonight were for teachers.
Yes it is ok to let off steam, release tension and scream aaaaaaahhh
