A 1000 steps in time

Traveled to Waterford’s Viking triangle today, advertised as 1000 years in 1000 steps. Didn’t seem much else to Waterford and not sure how many more spiral stair cases we can climb. However the 3 museums we did visit were excellent although the we good guides and not so good guides. They all could tell a humorous trail though 😀😀.

Photographed a canon ball lodged in Ragnor (Reginald’s) tower that has been there since Cromwell times. Very convincing… wouldn’t iron rust??? Also saw the longest carved wooden sword. Only in Ireland….

Minds full of history and buzzing.

Possibly the best experience was the King of the Vikings and not because of the viking who greeted us but because it was virtual reality. The rats were so realistic we tried to kick them away. A really good 30 minutes, recommend for everyone.

Walked misty round the peoples park.

Last thing was food in one of the local pubs, the Munster House. Delicious sea food all round. Think we may be museumed out now
