It’s a long way to Tipperary

After lunching at the Vee, a lovely winding road up to a view point where you can see for miles, we walked down a lovely rhododendron path to a little lough and back. Lovely but windy. County Tipperary is as far inland as we have been so far. Very much like English countryside, but we were heading for the Rock of Cashel. This is a magnificent cathedral/church complex, set on a rock, surrounded by a wall over looking the surrounding countryside. Quite a small area to look at but good none the less.

We wandered around the town on Cashel finding St Dominic’s church ruins before having a look around Hore Abbey which was as interesting just not as big and impressive as the rock, it also has less tourists as the coach tours did not go.

Now sat on a windy headland over looking the Atlantic, but the sun is shining again.
