where have all the people gone?

A late start and we thought everyone else had gone home as we started our cycle ride on very quiet roads. The island is just as impressive but we do not think anyone lives here permanently and the tourist season does not appear to start until July 1st!! Very few shops and very few cafés open but good for cycling 😁😁.

We did a 30km circular ride taking in tiny piers, great views, keel the main town, a deserted village from way back then, yellow flag iris, arum lillies and rhodedendren hedges all growing in the wild.

The weather was great again and Misty enjoyed her two gallops along the beach.

The day ended perfectly with barbecued Irish steak and a glass of wine, all in the evening sunshine.
