Sleepy Hollows Campsite

Rain clouds threatening …

That’s all they did ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. There was only one short heavy shower when we set off on the bikes this morning but big black clouds chased us all day.

We followed Ireland ‘1’ bike trail over newly gravelled roads, tiny roads with grass running down the middle, all single track but with magnificent views over hills, lochs (yes correct spelling) and sea. We then dropped down to Burtonport, a small working harbour with a ferry to the local islands. Then we saw it. A giant lobster. How could we resist it and the Guinness sign? This restaurant was really a pub with really good seafood. A seafood chowder and prawn open sandwich, delightful. All was enjoyed along with the craic with the barmaid.

The route home was all along the coast back to the site. A meer 36km all ups and downs.

Misty was pleased to see us as this was her rest day but We still found her a lovely little walk along a green way.
