Head in the clouds

After spending the night at the bottom of the ski slope we thought that we had better go up the last few feet to the top of Mount amiata (1738m). What should we find but an Eiffel Tower like cross and a white marble 🤔. Our heads were really above the clouds and the views were amazing, we were lucky to get this view as clouds covered the mountain later in the day.

Hair pin bends are becoming second nature on these travels and today was no exception. We went all the way down to Campiglia d’orcia to see a bell and buy a load of bread (and some biscuits😊). Further down still or next stop after lunch was Pienze, a pretty hill top down with a good range of painters.

Or campsite site is run by a very helpful man called Manuel. Now settled for the next couple of days with the sun awning up and dinner cooking 😊😊😊
