cooking on “gas”

A sedate walk into Assisi to see the Church of St Chiara d’Assisi. Barbara covered her shoulders without been asked to this time. Quite different to the basilica St. Francesca mainly because there were more people and groups around today. Coffee, shopping and gelato then back to the campsite for lunch. Misty said that she had had enough.

Climbed Mount Subasio, without Misty, to Eremo Delle Carceri. Not quite following in St Frances’s footsteps, we followed the road. Peaceful and beautiful, a contrast to tourist filled Assisi

Day finished off very pleasantly in la Stalla restaurant (campsite) a haunt for locals as well and they were all there tonight. Fascinated to watch the food being cooked on a huge open wood burning range. Excellent 😊😊
