Camping Edges of Aure
Bayeux
Following in the footsteps of Rollo (out favourite invading Viking who was here) we conquered the tourist route. The walk from our campsite along the river into the centre of Bayeux was tranquil in the early afternoon sunlight. The cathedral magnificent. The little winding cobbled streets definitely medieval with lots of interesting buildings. The street cafes were very welcoming after our meanderings.
After coffee back at the ranch we successfully negotiated out first Carrefour (supermarket) picking up some nice little delicacies including compulsory bottle of wine, (this is wine heaven and we are definitely ripped off in gb )
Tea was outside in the sunshine. Heading to Tours tomorrow.
